Job summary

Design, build, and maintain secure, high-quality Ruby and Rails applications and APIs, work across Ruby and JVM-powered Ruby environments, integrate with internal services, develop resilient integrations and implement robust background processing, ensure quality through code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization, contribute to delivery and operability using Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and modern CI/CD practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver value continuously, participate in technical spikes, architecture discussions, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails building secure, scalable web applications
  • Proficiency with SQL databases and background processing tools
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, Git, containers, and CI/CD; familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
  • A quality mindset - tests, reviews, and production readiness in a regulated environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to own problems end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, high-quality Ruby and Rails applications and APIs
  • Work across Ruby and JVM-powered Ruby environments, integrating with internal services where needed
  • Develop resilient integrations (REST/JSON and SOAP) and implement robust background processing
  • Ensure quality through code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization
  • Contribute to delivery and operability using Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and modern CI/CD practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver value continuously
  • Participate in technical spikes, architecture discussions, and mentor peers
